Based in Chicago, U.S. and Guardistallo, Italy, Ferrari Studios is an interdisciplinary collective space shared between sculptor Virginio Ferrari, his video artist son Marco G. Ferrari and other family members who work in performance art, literature, graphic design and photography. Ferrari Studios creatively bridges Italy and Chicago to inaugurate projects where artists and scholars collaborate to engage with the public and revitalize ideas and spaces.

Since immigrating to Chicago from Verona, Italy in the early sixties, sculptor Virginio Ferrari established a collaborative openness to work with international artists, architects, scholars, and galleries creating opportunitiesin both his adopted city and native land. Inspired by this tradition and the desire to form new modes of production, Virginio’s son Marco G. Ferrari manages Ferrari Studios’ initiatives ranging from workshops, happenings and exhibitions.
